Eco-friendly watering pots

Bury it, fill it, and let nature do the rest.
Water less, water better!
Our ceramics slowly and naturally hydrate your plants.
Oyas® Watering Pots are natural, handcrafted clay ceramics made in Belgium. Buried up to the neck and filled with water, they are porous enough for the surrounding soil to absorb moisture that seeps through the pottery.
With no surface evaporation, there’s no water wasted—resulting in water savings of 50–70%! Plants draw exactly the amount of water they need through suction, providing steady hydration that prevents water stress.
By placing Oyas® near your plants when preparing your vegetable garden or when planning to plant, you give yourself the best chance for a successful harvest! We also recommend mulching your soil to: in winter, protect your Oyas® and your soil, and in summer, retain soil moisture, create a welcoming habitat for beneficial insects, and reduce weed growth.

How to care for your oyas®?
FROST AND COLD WEATHER
Oyas® for burial can remain in the ground throughout the winter, even during periods of extreme cold ⛄️. However, we recommend that you allow them to empty completely, hold the plugs firmly in place and mulch generously (straw, leaves, shredded material, soil) anything that sticks out. They can be removed as a precautionary measure.
For plantable Oyas® (natural, glazed and decorated), it’s essential to bring them indoors or store them under cover during the winter 🪴.
MAINTENANCE TIPS
Our Oyas® require minimal maintenance. Avoid using dirty water, which may clog the pores. For Oyas® used with very hard water, clean them once or twice a year with diluted white vinegar. Rinse well before refilling.
MOSQUITOS
The stoppers supplied with the Oyas® help reduce the proliferation of mosquitoes 🦟. For extra protection, you can place a piece of solid mosquito netting around the neck of the Oyas®. Secure it with a piece of wire for added security.
